My Frosted Flake French Toast with Raisins created an argument in my household. I made a few to upload on this blog and placed them on the kitchen counter while I went to put a load of clothes in the washing machine. When returning from the laundry room, they seem to have disappeared, I thought that my mind was going nuts. I started looking for the French Toast. I thought as much as I was doing in the house, I began to think that I placed them in the washer. Then, here comes my son from out of nowhere with a plate with ONLY syrup. The nerve.
My mouth was getting ready to taste test these thick challah slices of bread with its cinnamon flavor, topped with strawberries, I couldn’t wait. Now, back to the drawing board. That is a testament to how good these French Toast taste. By the way, yes, Challah is my go-to, all-time favorite bread for French Toast. I like to cut my bread as thick or thin as I want, and Challah bread allows me to do so. My twist on the French Toast made at the Beverly Hilton is the type of bread that is being used. Some might not want their bread as thick as you see in the picture, but guess what, it does not have to be. Cut it the way you like it following my recipe. Enjoy!
