Pecan Pie

  • 1 pie crust follow my Aunt Carmen’s Quick Pie Crust Recipe
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup corn syrup
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups pecans divided


  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Have your pie crust prepared and placed in your pie plate.
  • Add 1 ½ cups of pecan onto the pie crust. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, add granulated sugar, brown sugar and salt. Mix together.
  • Add corn syrup, vanilla, butter and eggs. Whisk together.
  • Pour pie batter on top of pecans and inner pie crust.
  • With remaining pecans, add onto top of batter in a decorative way.
  • Bake in the oven for 50 minutes. Pie should not have too much liquid. If so, continue to bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  • Place in the refrigerator. Remove from the refrigerator 1 ½ hours before serving
