Ruth’s Chris Steak House is situated near one of the best malls in Short Hills, New Jersey and has a great atmosphere for fine dining. If you are ready to go out to eat dinner and take a break from the kids and cooking, this is the place to go. You will not be disappointed! The dining room is dimly lit with a subtle touch of elegance as you enter, passing the bar area. The bar area has a huge television, just in case you want to catch the latest sporting event and has seating around, or you want to catch a happy hour with friends and/or family.
As we were seated, the manager and server were attentive and ready to work. There was minimal wait time, as we made reservations ahead of time. The entrée that was ordered was Garlic Crusted Sea Bass, yum, yummy! This piece of filet was one of the most tender and flaky pieces of fish that I have eaten in a while. The garlic crust gave it a slight crunch filled with flavor, which was well deserving of a happy dance! The garlic crust was made using panko bread crumbs and garlic with a lemon butter sauce, which complimented the fish with a side of macaroni and cheese. The macaroni and cheese comes with lobster, but you can request for it not to be on this side dish.
The Sea Bass was placed on top of a bed of spinach. The spinach was sautéed in oil and garlic and a splash of lemon juice which was cooked to perfection. It was not wilted, hard or too soft. Perfecto! Take a ride over or google to where your nearest Ruth’s Chris Steak House is located and give it a try.
Other menu items that you might want to give a try are the Sizzling Crab Cakes, these triplets were AMAZING! The only thing these crab cakes were missing were a simple mustard sauce, but they were still inhaled in a short amount of time. Also, the Au Gratin, diced potatoes with a three cheese sauce along with creamed spinach goes well with any of the signature steaks.
You won’t be disappointed!
