Sticky Licky Wings

  • 10-15 chicken wing parts (wingettes)
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup baking powder
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour

Sticky Sauce

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3 tablespoons honey


  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons water


  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, place a cooling rack (oven proof) on top of the baking sheet. Spray with cooking oil.
  • Clean and pat dry wingettes, season with garlic, onion powder and salt.
  • In a large Ziploc bag, add flour, and baking powder. Shake well.
  • Add chicken to the bag and coat evenly. Place chicken on top of the cooling rack.
  • Bake in the oven for 35 minutes, turning half way.
  • In a small sauce pot on low to medium heat, add water, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, ginger and honey. Stir to combine all ingredients.
  • Add flour and water to a cup and stir until smooth.
  • Add to the sauce pot. Lower heat until sauce thickens.
  • In a large bowl, add baked chicken and pour sauce over chicken.


Optional: Add sesame seeds and top with chopped scallions.
