
Sticky Licky Wings
Ingredients
- 10-15 chicken wing parts (wingettes)
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup baking powder
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
Sticky Sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 3 tablespoons honey
Slurry
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, place a cooling rack (oven proof) on top of the baking sheet. Spray with cooking oil.
- Clean and pat dry wingettes, season with garlic, onion powder and salt.
- In a large Ziploc bag, add flour, and baking powder. Shake well.
- Add chicken to the bag and coat evenly. Place chicken on top of the cooling rack.
- Bake in the oven for 35 minutes, turning half way.
- In a small sauce pot on low to medium heat, add water, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, ginger and honey. Stir to combine all ingredients.
- Add flour and water to a cup and stir until smooth.
- Add to the sauce pot. Lower heat until sauce thickens.
- In a large bowl, add baked chicken and pour sauce over chicken.
Notes
Optional: Add sesame seeds and top with chopped scallions.
