Stuffed Shrimp

  • 10 large shrimp butterflied
  • 2 slices toasted buttered bread large diced
  • 1 celery stalk large cuts
  • 1/2 onion large cuts
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice optional
  • 1 cup crab meat
  • 1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 3 tablespoons butter melted


  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Clean and butterfly shrimp and place into a 9 x 13” baking dish.
  • Place diced bread, celery, onion, oregano, basil, parsley and salt in a food processor until crumbly.
  • Remove bread mixture from food processor and add to a medium sized bowl.
  • Add broth, lemon juice, crab meat and bread crumbs. Combine all ingredients well.
  • Place bread stuffing on top of butterflied shrimp. Create a mound using all of the stuffing.
  • Drizzle butter over the stuffing.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  • Remove foil and broil for 5 minutes.
